Hard-Wired vs. Wireless System
Choosing between a hard-wired and wireless system is also a decision for homeowners to consider. What this really comes down to is how big your system is going to be. But wireless is likely the best option.
A wireless system is connected by battery powered radio transmitters and is easily and cheaply installed, without the need of lining your house with wires. It’s typically more advantageous for the typical homeowner compared to hard-wired.
If you have giant home or property that needs protection within a large area, or to cover more than just your home, a hard-wired system may needed since wireless can sometimes limit the distances between sensors.
